LPA Quality Assurance Program The Livestock Production Assurance On-Farm Quality Assurance (LPA QA) program, incorporating the Cattlecare and Flockcare programs, represents the second tier of the LPA framework.

Carcass Feedback Feedback that is captured from the Abattoirs that includes Carcass Dentition, Fat content, weight, Bruising caused by live animal handling and grading a combination of fat and muscle scores used in assessing the quality of an animal.
Consignee The consignee (receiver) who receives the physical shipment of animals.
Geo-fencing Its a feature in a software program that uses the global positioning system (GPS) or radio frequency identification (RFID) to define geographical boundaries. A geofence is a virtual barrier.

NLIS The National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) is Australia’s system for the identification and traceability of cattle, sheep and goats. As animals are bought, sold and moved along the supply chain, they must be tagged with an NLIS-accredited tag or device. Each movement they make to a location with a different PIC is recorded centrally on the NLIS Database by people with NLIS accounts. NLIS accounts are free to open and operate.
PCAS Pasture fed Cattle Assurance System (PCAS) an assurance program that enables the industry to prove claims relating to pasture fed or grass fed production methods.
PIC A Property Identification Code (PIC) is the eight character alphanumeric code allocated by state based agricultural departments, to a livestock producing property or to plant properties growing prescribed crops.

Saleyards Saleyards are public delivery and collection points to which animals are transported to be sold to the highest bidder and from where animals are then transported to their final destination.
Transporters Those companies focused on the transformation of livestock from one destination to another.
Waybills Waybills are used to record the movement of livestock.
